Synopsis "Grito de Gloria"

Escrita en 1893, basa su relato en la cruzada de 1825: la batalla de Sarandí, donde las caballerías gauchas, con Lavalleja al frente, vencen a los enemigos, en un lance extremadamente importante donde se deciden los destinos de Uruguay. La naturaleza y el medio social, con algunas intencionadas incursiones en el campo de las tendencias políticas que se podían ver ya perfiladas en el panorama nacional, dan los elementos de este relato. No debemos olvidar que Acevedo Díaz, fue ente todo un activista político y conocía y hasta podía prever algunos acontecimientos futuros, basado justamente en su experiencia.
