The British and the Jews join forces to suppress the revolt.Ishmael Latif, forced to flee fifteen years before returns to fight with the rebels. He joins the rebels at a time when their plight seems hopeless. It was his task to restore hope.Sarah Poletsky Nevers joins the effort to achieve a peaceful end to the rebellion. Leading the movement is a newly arrived preacher John McDermott, pastor of a small Christian Church. John develops a daring plan.In America, Hitler's aggression threatens Europe and America. War seems inevitable. Two Senators, one about to leave Washington and the other newly arrived, resolve to keep America out of war. They are convinced by Sarah's father that peace in the world and peace in Palestine are so inter twined that one cannot be achieved without the other. The Senators find an ally in a beautiful professor from Wisconsin, Margaret Larsen, the leader of Women for Peace. .
