Synopsis "Where The Story Goes (in English)"

As the inside of the boot of a battered Nissan Primera isn't the best of opening locations you are encouraged to stay with this tale as, while captive in there, Imogen starts to think back over the preceding few weeks. They've been a bit of an eye-opener. Her Grandad is terminally ill in hospital and she's been visiting him and 'the inmates' in the geriatric ward. Having run out of small talk she began to read to them from the book she had in her bag. Originally intended to read on the bus on the way to and from the hospital. It's a humorous tale, her storybook, and just what they all need. It has the inmates enthralled as chapter after chapter she reads it out loud and the love story it reveals is by no means straightforward. Why should it be? But it is observed at times by hedgehogs with a high level understanding of human psychology; so this should help.It provokes a lot of discussion - and argument. Argument is the staple diet in the ward - the thrill of living hasn't escaped them. One evening she offers to help one of her Grandad's new friends and this means she catches up with an old flame, Sean. He never was a particularly pleasant character and time, and his choice in music, hasn't mellowed him.Although he's back on the scene at her request it is not a trouble-free relationship. Sean doesn't have any trouble-free relationships. Imogen should have known better but then since when has sense ever played a part in anyone's emotional needs?Congratulations - you have three stories in one book. I hope you think that this is a bargain. There is 'One Story' the chick-lit that Imogen is reading to her dying Grandad. Then there's the rap opera 'The Rush of Life' that Sean, and his friend Billy, are listening to.Around these two Imogen and Sean give you their tales of 'Where the Story Goes'. Look out for the Chapter headings if you get a bit lost. And along the way you get the benefit of hedgehog philosophy. You follow Imogen and Sean seeing the world through their literary influences - or maybe picking their influences to confirm their view of the world? Only a hedgehog could possibly tell us.If you want to know more about the author and his other works - he is part of the WSB Writers Colonyhttps: //sites.google.com/site/wsbwriters/hom
