When Life Strikes Midnight is a collection of 15 wholesome, humorous, ominous, and bittersweet short stories scaling in a multitude of fictional genres, such as general fiction, science fiction, romance, thriller, and paranormal: 1) An Incoming Invasion: An extraterrestrial who disapproves of malicious behavior lands in a random woman's backyard to warn her people of an invasion that's secretly taking motion on planet Earth.2) Forest Spooks: Desperate to keep their home, two young brothers land themselves into some trouble when they enter the premises of a forbidden forest rumored to have mysterious spooks that murder people.3) Ghosts In The Lake House: Two siblings are cast away to a hidden lake house in order to survive an active war. Little do they know they have five ghosts stalking them there.4) Hope For Paradise: A suicidal woman and her optimistic best friend navigate a slave-like existence on an Earth-like planet in hopes of one day escaping their enslavement.5) I'm Lost: An older sister taking care of her younger sister finds that their next ordinary day gradually takes odd twists and turns, leading her to question her reality and sanity as the day continues.6) The Creature: A hunchback outcast seeks shelter from a raging storm at a family's isolated farmhouse in the middle of the night.7) News Articles Of Amazing Events: A printed newspaper tells five tales: a little girl travels and survives the world without supervision, a nobody gypsy brings peace to an ugly war, three goats are untouched by a massive crash, an alien is interviewed by a reporter in New York, and an extraterrestrial species creates a new galaxy by hand in outer space.8) The Curse Of The Bride And Groom: Newlyweds who just moved into their new home struggle with a supernatural force that threatens their new marriage.9) The Ecosystem Factory: An enthusiastic family travels to a strange island known for its world-famous tourist attraction, The Ecosystem Factory, a giant machine that produces Earth's natural environment.10) A Missionary, A Survivor, And A Dead Man: When a missionary knocks on the door of a young woman's house and ends up stuck inside due to a powerful storm, the two decide to get to know each other. The conversation leads the young woman to reveal a guilty past regarding the death of a little boy. With the help of the missionary's evocation, the young woman intends to apologize to the tortured soul for her wrongdoing that caused him his life, but things don't turn out the way the two expected.11) The Mysterious Campfire Monster: A friendly campout quickly turns sinister when members of the group begin disappearing one by one.12) The Party At The Haunted Castle: Twin girls receive a party invitation located at an innocent old man's castle. Within minutes of arriving, they regret accepting the old man's invitation.13) The Zombie Attack At Home: Four zombie-obsessed friends are mind boggled and horrified when two undead bodies pay their house a visit on one of their movie nights.14) Trapped In Time: Two sisters, who spend most of their life in a library, gain the ability to travel to the past and the future when they find a book they've never seen before.15) What The Fortune Cookie Said: A young single mom of two is panic-stricken after receiving a sinister fortune cookie that links to the tragic event that took her husband's life.Thank you for your interest in the book!
