Synopsis "We Were Choi and Lee: Our Beginning (in English)"
This is a moving story of Choi and Lee, both unusual humans of Korean and African descent, who are thrown together after most of civilization has been swallowed by what we know as sinkholes. They must battle the creatures that have emerged from the Under Lands who seek Lee as an important breeder and Choi for a reason he keeps a secret from Lee. Their long journey is taking them to a place of safety and other humans but only Lee can locate it. Neither fully trusts the other and yet they find they have something in common. Neither has ever felt love in their lives and really cannot identify it as an emotion. Lee was prepared by her elders for this no-nonsense adventure. She wants to complete her "mission" and be done with it. Choi's sudden appearance does not sway her belief of him as someone she believes has his own agenda, including killing her for what she knows.
