Synopsis "Waiting in the Wings (in English)"
After an eventful spring, Kay Gates has finally settled into a new chapter in her life in Sydenham, Ontario, but her past refuses to stay in the past. She briefly runs into two classmates from high school during a grocery run, but doesn't think much of it until later that evening when her boyfriend, Detective Jack Murphy, informs her that one of them, Mason Chase, has been found dead in his home and an anonymous caller has mentioned Kay in connection with the murder!Determined to clear her name, Kay heads to the crime scene, where she discovers that Chase has been stalking her for years. Thrust into the spotlight with her best friend out of town, she leans heavily on Jack and his boss, Superintendent Nathan Richardson, to help her make sense of it all. Sparks fly between Nate and Kay, and as the police begin their investigation, Jack loses Kay's trust, driving a wedge between them. Before she can collect her thoughts, though, things take a sharp turn: Chase is suddenly seen alive, and then a woman's body is found lying in the ditch near Kay's home.
