Synopsis "Wait Your Turn...I Did (in English)"

This book is intended to encourage all of those who know you have a special assignment, call or purpose in life. Knowing when your time has come is just as important as knowing what you are supposed to do. Throughout this book I will be talking from the perceptive of a minister turned pastor. However, the principles and lessons I share can be applied to anyone looking to assume a position in the church, corporate or any other hierarchy. Above all, we must wait for the appointed time and season. No one ever said waiting is easy but it is a necessary process in order for your ministry to mature. If a woman delivers a baby before she reaches 40 weeks of pregnancy, her baby is considered premature. There are many different developmental risks that come with premature babies: Bodily organs may not function properly, respiratory issues may exist, and the size of the baby is abnormal. Well these are the same consequences you will experience if you move yourself into position prematurely, (in particular pastoring). You will not function properly (operate in self), you will struggle to breath (give fresh revelatory messages), and you will be abnormal in size (not strong enough to handle the load of pastoring.) Let me just throw this in now, "PREACHING IS NOT PASTORING!" There are many great preachers who have failed as pastors. They are two totally different gifts. If you don't know the difference then you really are not ready to pastor. I believe every pastor across the country will agree with me on this. If preaching was all there is to pastoring, it would be the easiest job in the world. Now don't get me wrong preaching is a major component of pastoring, but there is so much more to it than that. So, as you continue to read this book, my prayer is that my life experiences as an associate minister turned pastor will encourage each of you to, "WAIT YOUR TURN!"
