When the human prince, Rothgard, presses the Elves to the brink of extinction in his quest for global domination, an unlikely group of heroes must assemble. It is left to them to stem the tide of violence and madness left in the prince's wake. Although they are opposed by an unspeakably evil power, several virtuous and brave individuals stand up to face their enemy and inherit their own destinies. However important their parts may be in the grand scheme of this potential apocalypse, the fate of the world is bound tightly to the decisions of two forgotten warriors: the cursed wanderer, Soren, and the immortal queen, Rozalyn. As the two struggle to reconcile the wreckage of their own pasts, they begin to realize that it was their histories that paved the way for this present darkness. Though they are now but shadows of a world long gone, they must join together in order to prevent history from repeating its bloody cycle, becoming leaders to the remaining faithful in the fight against the rising chaos. As opposition rises, powers are corrupted, and allegiances are betrayed, these heroes begin to understand that they may be fighting a battle that cannot be won.
