Synopsis "Unconscious People: Booze, Drugs, and Other Weird Stuff: My View from the Sidelines (in English)"
This book is written to help those who are having problems with family, friends, partners, workmates, or acquaintances addicted to substances. When I say unconscious people, I mean those who are numbing themselves and have been mixing and matching drugs and alcohol. As well as prescription and illegal drug mixing, people are striving to become unconscious. As a non-user for the majority of my life, I have been observing and semi-participating in a lengthy lifetime of libation perpetuation with partying. I am a musician. I have seen and heard it all, at this point. I have a few things that help me get through and tolerate critical changes in people. I know that many situations call for serious solutions, but the large part of being around, working with, living with, or related to an addict is patience. I am reaching a wits-end place in my life, and finally have figured out how to remove myself from altercations, and not sustain a friendship or relationship status until remedied. There are ways to protect yourself. I don't have all the answers, but I have been trying to refrain from playing the usual games in "meetings" or anonymity. I think that people are sometimes better with self-help methods and listening to others who understand their situations. I am hoping to achieve some peace in knowing the people who are trying to become unconscious are just in need of a little motivation, goals, and good friends to help them through. I have listed information and some ideas to help get you through someone else's addictions. I am here to help anytime, and hopefully we can do this together.
