THE EXTRAORDINARY STORY OF A DEAF CHILD, AN EXTRAORDINARY DOG - AND A MIRACLE "Slowly the boy began to realize how much he had come to depend on the extraordinary dog as an object of his love and trust. He knew now that to live in this greed and hate ridden world he had to give love and trust. But love and trust, like a gift, must be earned and accepted. He had tried giving his love and trust to people, to his father, Dan, his mother, Angela, and Clair his grandmother, to Ellen, the maid and to Bill VanCobac, the judge, but they did not want it. A CHILD ALONE The mother, Angela, gave birth to her baby believing her son was a gift from God. The father, Dan saw his deaf son as a curse, a burden to himself and the family. Perhaps a punishment for his own selfish acts he had incurred in the past. Accursed, the young deaf boy, Bobby, grew to his thirteenth year trapped in silence. His love and trust for his baby brother drew him into the human world. Then - suddenly - his brother died. The broken-hearted young boy was taken in by the local judge, Bill VanCobac. Working in the dark, ancient mansion, the boy, Bobby was lonely and unhappy until the day he found a special dog to love - a beautiful miniature Chihuahua.
