New Mexico is steeped in a strong tradition of writers and poets. Running seventeen years strong, the Voces Summer Writing Institute has been cultivating young Albuquerque authors since 2002. Over the years, high school students have had the opportunity to hone their craft and work with the Duke City's best written and visual artists. Voces students do not only become life-long writers, they build relationships with each other, further themselves personally as well as artistically, and become leaders in their communities. But most importantly, they share their love and their power and their words with others. This Voces class of 2018 continues in this spirit. These talented young people show endless promise, honesty, and creativity.
