Synopsis "Through the Glass Ceiling (in English)"

This is a co-authored chronicle, Through The Glass Ceiling, of a high school graduate's rise to the top of a profession as the first female to be elected to be Corporate Secretary of a major business institution, the Southern California Edison Company. Honor Moore Muller, the seventh child of a Greatest Generation" family; a daughter of a small town, Hudson, New York laundry proprietor, who grew up during the "Great Depression", through WWII. She had four brothers and two sisters. All four brother served, honorably through-out the war. One brother, "Milt" Moore, was George H.W. Bush's "wing man " when George was shot down attacking a major Japanese communications center on the South Pacific island of Ichi Jima. "Milt" became a close family friend of George and Barbara Bush. Honor corresponded with him. Another brother, Major Mahlon "Mally" Moore, went ashore, in the first wave, to land on the beach in the "D-Day" invasion. At the end of the war, when Honor graduated in 1946, the family moved to California where Honor was hired as a secretary in the Los Angeles headquarters of the Edison Company, by the man she would marry 17 years later, Leonard "Len Muller." She retired at the end of 1986 with 39 years service. One of the perks of her employment was an annual 3 week vacation, each of which she recorded in detail in 18 trip logs of European and Mid-Eastern travel.
