Synopsis "Thicker than Blood (in English)"
"Thicker Than Blood" Historical Romance set during WW2 Marie meets Davy when she is 16, and they marry a few years later, full of promises of a bright future together. Sadly, they lose a baby in the first year of marriage, and soon afterwards, war is declared. Davy, a miner in the South Wales Coalfields, does not get conscripted to the forces because he is in a reserved occupation. Marie, meanwhile, still childless, is required to find work in a wartime occupation. She starts work in a local factory, making "French Letters". Soon their life improves, due to increased finances as well as Marie's new found friendships. Unfortunately, tragedy strikes. Marie and Davey are forced into a chasm of despair, frustration and poverty. This has a devastating effect on the couple, leaving Marie in a situation which appears to have no solution. She has to make some tough decisions. Due to circumstances, Marie agrees to a desperate plan, one which could alter the whole course of her life. However, will she be able to go through with it? How can she possibly regain the future she longs for? Discovering loyal friends who are prepared to help, Marie's hope flares. However, there is one, indisputable obstacle.
