Synopsis "The Yellow Convertible: You Who Travel on the Road - Sing! (in English)"
With her husband Missing in Action in Vietnam, Caroline spirals into depression and addiction. As a result, she abandons her daughter, Emily, and son with special needs, Matthew, into the care of three, aging, female relatives. Rita, Emma, and Ima, wise and fiercely independent women, take the children on an adventure west in a yellow convertible. As they travel across the United States, Emma's faith inspires the women to share their memories of love and war on the home front of World War I and World War II. Through their alternately heartbreaking and funny stories, the children are encouraged to have faith and courage regardless of their circumstances. Unexpected circumstances and a chance meeting unearth family secrets and generations of buried pain. In the ensuing chaos, Emily and Matthew are afraid they will be left as orphans. Emma encourages the family to find shelter in the Ancient Rock, but will its pillars of grace and forgiveness hold?
