The Texts is a small collection of essays that do not have a place in and of themselves for publication, but which remain helpful to the goal of the book in providing preview of significant lines of inquiry. The month and year of the texts are provided whenever possible. These essays may be contextualized by an italicized paragraph that will introduce the individual text to the reader. Some early fiction that would otherwise go unpublished is included at the end of The Texts. Overall, the reader may find these writings to range from inane to the perceptive and from the sane to the deranged. "I speak for the exception, so long as he does not wish to become the rule." (Attributed to Nietzsche.) These represent the scope of a young life lived. About the Author: J. R. Emry, a native of Virginia, earns his living as a man of letters in service to the American public. He studied under the tutelage of the science fiction author S.L. Gilbow and obtained degrees in Computer Science and Psychology.
