He has graduate degrees in religion and counseling, and the Doctor of Ministry from Regent University. He previously published Overcoming Eating Disorders, a Rapha Recovery Book, and Make up Your Mind: From Deadly Deception to Godly Perception. Married since 1979 to his high school sweetheart, Emily, they live with their dachshund, Toby.
