Synopsis "The Speech of Angels: Tommy Sova, His Life and Music (in English)"

Thomas John Sova, was soft-hearted with children and small animals, a joy to his parents, a companionable and affectionate brother, and a dedicated musician. By the time he graduated college, he had also devoted twelve years of study to the Classical Guitar. His letters of acceptance into two prestigious graduate programs of musical studies were in the mail, to be delivered (posthumously) to his parents. His talent should have earned him the recognition and admiration of a much wider venue than his Midwestern hometown, but he wouldn't have that opportunity. Gary and Vicki Sova had raised their two boys in a loving family home, in a safe neighborhood, among many members of their extended family--an environment where any parent would feel confident of a child's safety and security. But no parent could have foreseen the violence that reached into their own home that spring night. Tommy's appropriate legacy--his talent, his kindness, the beautiful music he created in his twenty-four years of life--became eclipsed by the controversy of his death. The small city, where his parents had grown up and had remained to provide their boys the same stable, safe environment they had experienced, became, for Tommy, for a few minutes, a deadly place. The controversy of his death became what many people there remember about him. His twenty-four years of life before that appalling night at his parents' home is his real story--and the appropriate legacy for this remarkable young man. In reading his story we may also recognize that this heritage and his own precocious dedication and talent had given him the vision of his potential and the strength of character to have achieved his dreams.
