Synopsis "The Spear of Fate (in English)"
Following the death of Ariel and the destruction of one of the oldest vampires in the world, Aiden Gallagher and Elizabeth Callahan return to their Los Angeles home, where they are met by Brigit, the High Queen of Faerie. Brigit informs them that the mother of Aiden's race of vampires has crossed over to the Earthly plane with Samael (Lucifer) himself, both seeking revenge for the death of their daughter, Selene. In their first confrontation with Lilith, Aiden becomes debilitated, and they must flee in order to survive. During their self-imposed exile, they gain the assistance of two angels neither of them expected and learn that Samael crossed to the Earthly plane for possibly a different reason: the search for a very well-known holy relic thought to be under lock and key, but really secreted away in a location unknown to anyone but the Church and - of course - the angels.
