The second book, THE SOLAR EXPRESS, relates how the political and economic prejudices of the past resist their efforts to reestablish world commerce and prosperity. It seems that only the use of judicious force will prevent all their efforts being negated by the selfish remnants of the previous era's elite religious, political, and economic powers. The pioneers of orbital seek to establish a Commonwealth of willing nations for commercial trade and economic prosperity.
