Mary Heaton is a respectable middle-aged widow, with a daughter who recently went off to university and a husband who until his death was a senior member of the cabinet. They eventually quit the business and hid the truth from everyone. As Donald entered politics, they told people that they'd made their money in the clothing industry. The truth, however, had remained undisturbed. Until now. Someone is blackmailing Mary. Someone wants her to reveal the humiliating truth about her past. Someone knows everything, and has the photos to prove it. As she races to stop the truth from exploding into her life, Mary tries to work out who has discovered her dark secret.
