Synopsis "The Poplar Hole: None (in English)"
When it comes to being a southern redneck I guess I'm guilty, I grew up in Central Georgia and as a young boy my father taught me how to be a safe and successful woodsman / hunter. My Dad knew all the good hunting spots and the spots that should be avoided. One of the spots we always tried to avoid was an area called the poplar hole. On the rare occasion we went in the area of the poplar hole he would always tell me stories about people disappearing there and how they were never found due to the unusual depth and current. I do know that when ever I was there I always felt an unusual / uncomfortable feeling that something or someone was watching me which caused my immagination always ran wild. In this short story I have taken fact and fiction and blended them into a short story that is a cross between a science fiction / horror. I enjoyed writing this short story since I wrote it around the people and animals I loved or befriended. I am sure that anyone that reads this story will find parts they can relate to.
