Synopsis "The plight of Rwandese refugees after the genocide: The story of a survivor: From the middle of the Rwandese genocide to the heart of the United State (in English)"
This story recounts the daily ordeal of a small family - and that of thousands of other Rwandese refugees - who were forced from the comfort of their homes in Kigali, in the middle of the 1994 Rwandese genocide. These refugees struggled for their survival for days, weeks, months and years while they were pursued across several countries. Many were tortured, killed and separated from their families and suffered hunger and exhaustion as they desperately sought a place of peace. The saga ends in 2007 when the remaining family members were granted exile in United States.
