Thursday, May 14, 1953 Ben White is a police officer for the S.F.P.D. It's Thursday afternoon and he's sitting by the phone, holding down the fort while the rest of his platoon from the Central Station is out supporting the homicide inspectors who are investigating a couple of murders at the Colombo Market on Front Street.
