Amie gave up so much of herself to become the strong, smart, hardcore business woman that she needed to be. She left her home, her country, and the love of her life to attend Oxford. When Amie had to say good bye to Rose and Beth it was the hardest thing she has ever had to do. She knew she was leaving the best part of herself here but at least she knew Rose would be ok, even if in the arms of Beth. The first person she met in London was a man, but he reminded her so much of both Rose and Beth that it seemed destined that she would be in a relationship with him sooner or later. But when they returned to the USA to bury her father she got so wrapped up in the business that Richard simply got lonely and just went home.Amie was rapidly becoming a success, but at what cost. She watched as her friends lives start to bloom so beautifully and couldn't help but wish she had a life too. So finally, deciding she had sacrificed enough, she hired an assistant. But this assistant was special and would soon bring out the old Amie, the Amie with a smile that reached her eyes, the Amie who knew love and friendship.And finally, the epilogue wraps up 10 years of the lives of Rose, Beth, and Amie.
