In one week, Karen Carmody, 30, manages to lose both her job and sublet. She's unemployed, broke, and homeless. She is grateful for her residencies at Yaddo, MacDowell, Bread Loaf, and Ragdale. She has taught at Hunter College High School and The City University of New York.
