Jessica's work "The Crimson Eyed Buddha", published in 2017 by Dixie West Publishing, is an astounding story of how four generations of a family went through the social and political turmoil under communist rule in China. It depicts the love and hope that carried them through their pursuit of freedom. In 2018, The Crimson Eyed Buddha won the Taiwan Overseas Literature Award: Outstanding Fiction. In the same year, the book won the Best Fiction Award by the Chinese American Librarians Association. Jessica's "Northern Maple" was published by Xinhua Publishing in 2018.
