Synopsis "The impact of digital social networks on young people in Tunisia (in English)"
Digital social networks are multiplying nowadays; Facebook, Twitter, Instgaram, Viber, Whatsapp, ... attracting all social hierarchies in Tunisia and especially young people who have grown up with the internet between their fingers. Through this virtual world, young people communicate with each other, make new friendships or strengthen old ones, they try to have fun, exchange information, and be open to modernity, they end up considering this world as a reality. These social networks have strong influences that are still unknown or rather neglected by our youth. This work gives an interest in the impact of digital social networks on young people in Tunisia. Our objective is to show that social networks in the era of globalisation have changed the way young people live, whether positively or negatively. Our study has clearly shown that the young people of the cyber generation cannot live without being in contact with these social networks which have negative impacts on their lives and behaviour, which requires the implementation of an effective strategy to protect our young people against this technological escape
