Their first adventure was a stinky one; it involved rotten eggs. Mitchell, Donald and Clare now find themselves in Singapore at the start of Chinese New Year, where a second adventure unfolds. As if laid on for them, they land in the middle of a family situation - the disappearance of the grandfather of Jade Wan. Jade is the daughter of an old school friend of Mitchell's mother who lives in Singapore. Unperturbed by jetlag, a new environment, and some rather cryptic clues that look like messages out of a fortune cookie, Mitchell, Donald and Clare team up with Jade to try and solve the mystery. The teenagers race across Singapore, exploring well-known and less well-known parts of the island, in the search for Jade's grandfather. They soon discover that everything is linked to something called the Green Lotus and a family legend.
