Sandy Carpenter takes a leap of faith and buys her own home, a charming, rundown little bungalow cuddled into a safe and cozy neighborhood in Salem, Oregon. She builds up her cute little house all while her friendship with her new boyfriend quickly falls apart. Phil Becker, her charismatic new neighbor, just seems to know how to treat her so that his consideration and insights really shines through. Skeptical, Sandy hesitates to end one relationship and start the other. She finds it difficult to trust in Phil, to trust that he is committed enough to the relationship to give her time to work through her issues.
