Synopsis "The Flood (in English)"
In The Flood, author Michele Watson-Bradford invites children and youth to dive into the biblical story of Noah and the ark, the nations of Noah's sons after the flood, and the Tower of Babel. Children encounter the Nephilim, the offspring of the women of earth and the sons of God (fallen angels), and learn earth was full of corruption, which broke God's heart. One man, Noah, and his family found favor with God, so God gave Noah instructions to save his family and animals of every kind on earth. After the flood, as the ark was left behind, Noah, his sons-Shem, Ham, and Japheth-and their descendants formed new nations that spread throughout the earth. Then, speaking one language, they pridefully built a tower that reached to heaven. God divided them by confusing their language. Children will enjoy this nonfiction account of Noah's ark and the Tower of Babel.
