Synopsis "The Drosselmeyer Legacy (in English)"

Ignatius Drosselmeyer had always been strange, with his dark cloths, his eye patch and his unruly hair. He is an aloof inventor, brilliant when it comes to making clockwork machines. Some of his most remarkable inventions are made when he is abroad, for he never stays in one place for very long. He comes back from his journey with tales that seem to have come from the pages of a story book instead of real life. And now Clara knows why. For Christmas, Clara receives a nutcracker from Ignatius Drosselmeyer, her godfather. Though she loves it, she sees nothing special about the wooden doll. That is, until it comes alive at midnight and battles an army of vicious mice, all within Clara's own bedroom. The Nutcracker is really a prince from an enchanted realm. A realm taken over by the wicked Mouse King. When the Nutcracker takes her there, Clara is surprised to find Ignatius Drosselmeyer there as well. He explains to her that all the time he has been away, he has been in this enchanted realm."Drosselmeyer is not my name, Clara, it is my occupation," Ignatius tells Clair. The Drosselmeyer is not only charged with the duty of keeping a window between both worlds, but of keeping the balance of good and evil within the Nutcracker's realm. Now Clara, who is the apprentice Drosselmeyer, must find a way to not only return the Nutcracker to his real body, but to rid the land of the Mouse King. Yet as she continues her struggle, those that she thought she could trust become backstabbers, and her heart finds sympathy for those that she thought irrevocably evil. Clara becomes unsure of who she should really follow, and wonders with whom her loyalties lie.
