For centuries, the kingdom of Victrial has enjoyed a period of peace and prosperity known as the Great Millennium. All citizens are equal, crime is nonexistent, and violence is abhorred. Victrial's grand philosophy, "Do as ye will, and harm ye, none," is the standard by which its people live. Even so, a dark threat looms, the first sign of its presence a brutal border battle.The Battle of Gladenfell Tor was a massacre, with the sun rising over the corpses of five thousand Nelvan mercenaries and all three hundred knights under Sir Geoffrey Valhurst's command.
