Synopsis "The Desk (in English)"
The Desk is a historical novel and tells the story of the Wadlow family during the Civil War years. The story is based on actual letters written by a father and his two eldest sons as they served in the Union Army. Each letter has been reproduced exactly as they were written. Coincidentally, a real-life serial murderess was killing citizens in this same small town during this period. The story of the Wadlow family and murderess have been interwoven into a fictional account of the happenings in the of City Allegheny, Pennsylvania.
