THE CHARLESTON JOURNEY: The Civil War ended and now the work of rebuilding both north and south had begun. Sheriff Cody Jackson and his wife, Heather, remained in Charleston, raising their children as well as Heather's siblings. Their first challenge was saying goodbye to Danny, who was finally heading to Illinois as a Bible College student. Soon after Danny's departure a new member to the family made her arrival. Yet even while enjoying the good things of life, the past suddenly found its way to Charleston. Lawless men seeking wealth by robbing stages and banks, continued to challenge the offices of local law enforcement-including Charleston. As Cody sorted through a new stack of "Wanted Posters," he found himself staring at familiar eyes-eyes that mirrored his own. Tad and Cody Jackson, separated as children, are now on a course of reunion. This reunion should have been a happy time, but now decisions of right and wrong-the law and the outlaw-loom as an impending storm.
