The dark secret of the Reaches is known only to the dead ... and the dead are restless.Tales were always told about the expanse known as the Reaches. Even more was said about what lurked within it. With rumor added to the spacial anomalies and instabilities, most had long ago abandoned exploration in the region ... even before the stories of worse things, dark things ...Eventually, venturing into the Reaches was all but forgotten. Forsaken, too, were beliefs and individuality, all too readily sacrificed for coalition. Independence and freedoms were bartered for treaties and alliances. Unity, it was discovered, came with conformity. The unknown was declared unknowable. If it could not be agreed upon by all, it was taboo. The supernatural, and any belief in it, was declared superstition and childish, something to be shunned. Then the horror stories began anew, worse than ever before. The dead rising, skeletal pilots with undead crews, asking questions of the living they are forbidden to answer or even believe ... In a time of unbelief and denial, can the ship called the Spoken Word and her crew lead a resistance against an undead horde, a starmada of bones?
