Danielle Sanclair is a young, vibrant Editor for one of the largest newspaper conglomerates in New York City. Doing whatever it takes to realize her dream of becoming an investigative journalist, "Dani" finds no shame in clandestine affairs or, even acts that lead to blackmail and extortion. After sleeping with her boss under the false pretense of a promotion, Dani leaves the office and spends a drunken afternoon at her boyfriend's upscale apartment; however, Dani discovers that Chase, her boyfriend, was also having an affair when a mysterious woman enters his apartment. Fleeing from her relationship with Chase, Vice President over Marketing, Dani relies on her knack at blackmail to fund her way across the country, where she is approached by a serial killer via email. Dante, the killer, informs Dani that he wants her to write his story; a story that is presented as Dante's Blog and amasses an unusually large following. Surrounded by fear and a burning desire to meet Dante, Dani finds herself engulfed in a scandal, which could likely result in the threat of becoming Dante's next victim.
