Synopsis "The Belize Version of the ANC: Understanding BPP - A 20-Year Journey (in English)"
I decided to write the book in your hand as a form of outreach to the youth that constitute seventy percent of Belize's functioning illiterate population. A generation often referred to as a 'Plug and go-generation'! One I refer to as a "hybrid." This generation, some refer to as 'generation X', is actually a cross between a spoken word and a hip hop and rap generation. Their love for poetry, rhymes, Punta Rock, dance hall can only be attributed to their melaninated DNA of oral history. I chose these topics as a result of my head on collision with the 'tool of politics' often misconstrued as politics overlapping and affecting every sphere of our existence. This includes the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the air we breathe, and the very homes we live in. Politics affects our entire quality of life. What motivates and inspires me apart from the daily encouragement to write from posts on the social media is the hope in my people. They are all hoping for a pie in the sky; hoping that some savior will come down and rescue them. This savior in my humble view is among them; it's an 'Alternative movement or labour movement'. This left wing, social democratic movement must educate while galvanizing them to do for self in order to change the game.
