One of the Superiors, a woman named Scarlett, is not doing her job. A clan member keeps slaughtering people, and it doesn't take long for this news to travel down the vampire grapevine. The nearest Superior to the situation, Daemion, decides it's his job to step in with hopes to overthrow (read: kill) her and take over her clan. The only problem is: an unexpected twist of fate disrupts their world, and Daemion is no longer sure if he can get rid of his beautiful little rival...
