The Act of Free Falling presents four very different types of poems. Each may appeal to a particular type of reader, although their variety may enable a wide spectrum of poetry lovers to choose works from this volume to precisely match their mood. One group of these poems is about animals, nearly all in metered rhyme. These poems are likely to appeal to the kind of reader who enjoys a strong sense of rhythm in his or her poetry.
