Synopsis "Texas Persuasion (in English)"
Calvert Sheppard was at the lake cabin in North Carolina to spend a week fishing in Fontana Lake. Sarah McHannon shows up out of nowhere looking for his help in finding the killer of her father, John McHannon. Calvert's older brother, Simon, is a close friend of Sarah's father and is responsible for her showing up at the lake. After hearing the circumstances surrounding the murder, Calvert feels he has no choice but to put his week of leisure on hold and take on the search for clues that will lead to the killer. The journey for the two of them starts at the cabin and continues to Louisiana and Texas. For the next several days the two of them are inseparable as they work to uncover the reason why Sarah's father was found murdered behind his cattle trailer at a truck stop in Lafayette, Louisiana. They soon discover who the real killer is and in doing so reveal a terrorist bombing plot involving freight trucks running up the East Coast. Calvert finds himself drawn to Sarah in a way he vowed would not happen to him again, since the tragic death of his only true love. As he battles his own emotions he does not wavier from his promise to see the journey through to the successful conclusion. A conclusion that results in an arrest with enough evidence for a conviction.
