Julian, Earl of Ware, marries suddenly in late 1806. He can't bear to leave his wife behind while he's abroad, but is sure that his Countess ought to be safely - properly! - at home. Set in Europe in the early 1800s, this historical romance follows the Wares and their love from England to Portugal, through twisted encounters as far afield as Constantinople - until, back in London at war's end, Ware finally realizes the truth of Kate's devotion. A sensual tale of lasting love, Tell Me True is not quite a traditional Regency, and is the first volume in a projected trilogy.
