However, the majority of Christian's I've talked with over my lifetime have told me that while people are searching and seeking to connect with God, they are not hearing God as they hoped. It seems that most agree that God loves us, wants to care for us and talk with us, so what is the problem? To be sure, throughout the scripture we see stories of Gods children talking with God. Stories that show God talking with those who have been good, those who have been truly evil; but repented, and those in times of difficulties, hardship and pain.
