The prince had long ago learned the truth concerning the throwing trees, that they were actually creatures of intelligence, able to talk to one another, and hated the intrusion of travellers on the mountain path. Ryen also knew that these Trees had at one time declared their allegiance to the ancient kings of the Realm. However, Ryen wondered to himself, "Will the Mountain Trees still recognize their allegiance today? Will they acknowledge the authority of a Prince of the Bright Realm?" Mike Sonier has been a certified family counsellor for close to twelve years and is also a certified teacher in the New Brunswick (Canada) public school system. Mike's love for people and his love for writing have combined to produce this tale of adventure, a novel in which readers will explore the many mysteries and dangers of an exciting new world called the Bright Realm. Mike and his family have lived in many parts of Canada. Since October of 2013, Mike and his wife Rita have resided in their beautiful country home just outside the town of Woodstock, New Brunswick.
