Synopsis "Survey of the Scriptures (in English)"
The Bible gives the plan of salvation provided by our Creator through his Son Yahushua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ). This is an overview of the whole Bible, including the inter-testament period of 400 years between the Old and New Testaments. It gives a general background of the main characters, such as Adam, Eve, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Ruth, King David in the Old Testament, and Yahushua (Jesus) and the apostles in the New Testament, and their importance in the plan of salvation. It covers the main events, such as creation, the fall of man that brought sin into the world, Noah's flood that destroyed all of mankind except Noah and his family, the tower of Babel with its confusion of languages, the beginning of the Hebrew people with Abraham and Elohim's (God's) covenant with him, the Exodus from Egypt and entering the Promised Land of Palestine, the establishment of the nation of Israel with its high point in King David, the wickedness of the nation that resulted in their being removed from the Promised Land, their restoration to the land with their continued wickedness, the life of Yahushua (Jesus) with his death and resurrection, the beginning of the church at Pentecost with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the letters giving instructions on how to live the Christian life, the events of the end times with the rule of Yahushua for 1,000 years, the final judgment, and the Bride of Messiah on the new earth. The Bible is an exciting book, and this Survey helps the believer get a basic understanding of the whole, and gives encouragement to go deeper into each book and to grow in changing to become like our Savior, Yahushua Messiah and thus to qualify to be his bride for eternity.
