In einer komparativen Fallstudie analysiert der Autor mittels einer Mehrebenenuntersuchung in 15 deutschen Großstädten sowohl die Ebene der Gemeinden und Pfarreien als auch der Landeskirchen, Bistümer sowie der EKD und der Bischofskonferenz.
