Synopsis "since you told me you wanted to be a bird: Poems where MS, long-distance cycling, love, and loss intersect (in English)"
since you told me you wanted to be a bird is a collection of poems that grew out of the author's hope to capture the emotions, the hopes, and the fears experienced not only by a loved one diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, but also by herself as witness to the physical decline, the emotional rollercoaster, and the eventual moment of goodbye. Each of the poems here was written for all those living with MS, and those caring for those living with MS.
