Jim Taylor is an average guy whose hearing has been deteriorating for some time. After his hearing loss causes him to nearly step in front of a train, he is fitted for hearing aids. Five years later when he decides to replace his hearing aids, Jim has no idea he is about to be led down a dark path he never imagined. When he finds a brochure advertising hearing aids at half price, Jim receives new hearing aids from a man who looks like a cross between a ghost and a mad scientist. When he discovers he has unknowingly killed a prominent politician, Jim sets out on a determined quest to clear his name.
