In a bind, he resorts to hiring Faith Berah, a dishonorably discharged military brat whose motives are dubious at best. She quickly pulls him into an adventure where authorities are the enemy, assassins shoot to kill, and things are not always as they seem. Trust is fleeting. The threats are real. With the help of Faith, a sour police detective, and an old smuggling buddy, Siever might just win the day...unless one of them kills him first.
