Rebecca Benston is from Springfield, OH. She is the author of The Rona Shively Stories mystery series which currently includes eight books. Benston has also written several inspirational books including Rise Up to Wise Up, a companion guide to her women's empowerment group workshops. Benston's work was previously published through Stonegarden Books. In 2014, Stonegarden closed its doors and the author was faced with an important decision; continue writing and seek another publisher or publish her own work and help other authors tell their stories. She decided on the latter and Books from Higher Ground (BHG) was born. To date, Benston has signed five additional authors, one of which is her own daughter, Mya Benston. She continues to reach out to authors, young and old, encouraging them to tell the stories that God has placed on their hearts. Every soul has a testimony and it is Benston's mission to get those stories to their intended audiences.
