It shows how desperation clouds people's minds leading them to poor judgments and sometimes detrimental decisions.The book then exposes the quagmire and pretense that the witchcraft industry is. The witchdoctors themselves have got no solutions to their own various problems, but masquerade as the people's saviors to hoodwink the gullible. Their craft is a hogwash that is just a bunch of same rituals performed over and over on different people at different times, but with no real or concrete results; just psychological gimmicks. Yet that is not all; witchdoctors are manipulators, idolatrous and profanely superstitious.
